Another wonderful Open Mic Nite with performances by regulars AJ Rejes, TJ Sinsay, and Doctor Zoom. Yummy snacks provided by Yvonne. Coming up this month we begin work on a couple of painting projects. We have a series of collaborative paintings that show ministry in action that anyone can work on. Eventually we will turn this into an exhibit. If you'd like to help, just show up on Monday nights!
The other, much larger project involves the rennovation of the King/Chavez School. We will aid in repainting the entire school and putting up some mural designs that the local kids came up with. Join us on Monday nights to help with the preliminaries, or sign up to be part of the painting crew. On
Saturday, Nov. 22nd we will paint the basecoat and design outlines from 8am to 5pm. On
Saturday, Dec. 6th we will color in the designs from 8am to 5pm. We need LOTS of volunteers for this, so if you would like to help,
please contact us here.

The Rundown - with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - rocked all of us this week! A cross between Indiana Jones and WWF, this movie had a great story, incredible action and choreographed fight sequences, lots of funny moments, and best of all - Christopher Walken as the bad guy! What more could you ask for? Oh yah - that goofball who played Stiffler! Good times!

Well,
September's Open Mic Nite was off the hook! Around 100 people attended and our regulars performed some of their best material yet. TJ took his poetry to whole new level, Doc Zoom's "Diary Of An Apostle" blew everyone away, AJ changed up an old favorite, and two reggae bands dropped in to close out the night with an all out open jam session! I hope this is a sign of things to come.
