UPDATE: Our Wednesday night Bible Study is on temporary hiatus. Please join us on Monday nights - especially the dates flagged here in purple - as we delve into random topics and find out what God's word has to say about it.
Acts 2:44-47 says "Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." That is what we are striving for.

This is a time for getting to know one another better by sharing our gifts, talents, ideas, and visions - serving and ministering to each other and working out ways to serve and minister to the body of Christ and the community at large.
Typical activities include a bible study, painting projects, event planning, performance rehearsals, jam sessions, cooking, eating, and prayer. You are welcome to bring any project or material that you are working on to share, critique, review, etc. Paint, draw, write, compose, rehearse, refine, practice, and polish... who knows who else may be inspired by YOUR efforts?

The OB1 Fellowship Hall has a screen projector and the 3rd Monday of each month is now POTLUCK AND MOVIE NITE. We might show something with obvious biblical relevance like The Passion Of The Christ or we might show a classic favorite like Finding Nemo or The X-Men and then discuss any biblically relevant issues or themes we happen to find there. KING/CHAVEZ SCHOOL MURAL PROJECT

As a part of Toys For Joy 2008, this will be stage two of a two stage project. We are helping to repaint the entire school and to get some murals up on their walls. Today we will color in the designs that we put up two weeks ago. We need lots of volunteers for this - You don't need to be very artistic for this part. It will just be like a giant coloring book that just needs filling in. If you would like to be a part of this exciting rennovation, please contact us here.
